Things only got the small some-more exhilarated in a RIM / Kik brawl: RIM’s now filed the Canadian patent transgression case against the company, just days after it pulled Kik Messenger from BlackBerry App World due to “breached contractual obligations.” We don’t have the censure yet, so we’re not sure just what RIM’s patent covers, though it’s a satisfactory gamble to contend it’s expected messaging-related — and it’s probably the safer gamble to say which EDGE doesn’t screw around when it comes to traffic with potential threats to BBM. You mess with a longhorn, you get the horns.
