Medion added to its range of two multimedia laptop – Akoya E6217 and Akoya P6627. New items were officially presented recently and is already available for order in Belgium. Both models are built on a platform of Intel Calpella, rather than the Huron River, and are positioned in the middle price range.

According to official figures, Akoya E6627 has the following specifications: 15.6-inch display, HD Ready, CPU Intel Core i5-480M, 4 GB of RAM DDR3-1333, hard drive capacity 640 GB, the drive writes DVD, Web-Camera, 1-port USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 1 eSATA, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, memory card slot (5-in-1). Mobile system weighs 2.7 kilograms and its dimensions – 379x256x37 mm.

In general, Akoya E6217 is no different from the E6627, but this model uses an integrated Intel GMA 4500 graphics to display HD images on the screen. Moreover, it uses the CPU Core i3-390M, which is known, does not support Turbo Boost.

Both models are now available for order through Medion.com. Their price – 699 and 599 euros.
