Jonathan Lee (Jonathan Liow), graduate student melbunskogo (Australia), Monash University (Monash University) invented a way to help people who have no access to gas and electricity, and hence to the possibility of dirty water to boil in order to disinfect and clean it.

The student realized his idea of the device Solarball, which is used for water purification normal sunlight.

Small ball with a transparent top is capable of producing up to three liters of clean water per day – would have been the sun. The principle of operation of the device is very simple – the sun heats up the ball and forcing him being in the water to evaporate, the vapor condenses on the "dome" (the very top of the transparent sphere) and the droplets flowing in a "clean" compartment. The distillate can then be poured into a clean bottle and safely drunk.

In fact – a good idea for the points on the planet, in which the lack of clean water is a huge problem.

But there are also disadvantages of such a decision – is the rate of distillation and the capacity of the ball (three liters of water will obviously not enough). Not to mention those scenarios where the sky is not bright sun.
