Intel launches new flagship Core i7 – Processor Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition, which has 6 cores clocked at 3.46 GHz.

The new CPU can be overclocked to 3.73 GHz frequency, thanks to technology Intel Turbo Boost, and the unlocked multiplier gives enthusiasts, overclockers a great field for experimentation.

Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition has a 12 MB cache, dynamically allocated between cores, and 3-channel DDR3 Memory clocked at 1066 MHz. Intel recommends using the new processor, together with its chipset, X58 Express.
