Sony restricts stereoscopic PS3 games to 720p 3D

Sorry, associate gamers, we’re out of fitness if we want to play stereoscopic PS3 titles in their full high definition excellence — Joystiq reports which Sony discipline won’t concede for 1080p 3D. As we discovered in April, the goal is to run even local 1080p content during a lower 720p resolution when bursting the picture in twain, allowing sufficient estimate beyond for the well-spoken 60fps framerate and expected reducing eyestrain. Mind you, it’s not similar to there have been many occasions when you’d have means to complain — even in dual dimensions, native 1080p titles on complicated consoles have been couple of and distant between. Exempt from the selection are 3D Blu-ray movies, which run at a slower (but incomparable 1080p24 by default, so rest positive that when you’re being tortured with Clash of a Titans repeat viewings, you’ll see each stately detail.
