New Microsoft code logos, association tagline suggested during MGX eventuality? (update: no brand-new logos, tagline is the go)

It looks like Microsoft may have revealed something big during the annual MGX (Microsoft Global Exchange) eventuality, namely… brand-new logos for the categorical brands as well as a uninformed brand sign. “Be What’s Next” touts the teaser which has been posted on YouTube, along with the quick relocating method of morphing logos, shuffling from Windows, to Windows Phone, Xbox, Bing, and eventually a familiar Office logo that’s been kicking around for the little longer. It’s unclear if these have been only treatments used for the promo during the eventuality, or if this is the signal which Redmond is dumping the familiar (and honestly dated) iconography for something a little looser, leaner, as well as hipper, but you can’t contend it would be a bad thing. It would positively make clarity against a backdrop of intensity comeback in a mobile space, gains in poke, and the seemingly successful (or during least gratifying Windows 7 launch. One thing is for certain, MGX is a corporate, non-public event for a Microsoft faithful to cheer a brand (Ballmer perceived the 30 year decoration during MGX 2010), so this would really be the place to spread a little brand-new branding. Check a video after the break to see a new character, and strike the gallery below for the bigger look.

Update: So… the YouTube video has been pulled. Fear not, we’ve got the own duplicate!

Update 2: We’ve just been contacted by Microsoft as well as told that these have been not brand-new logos that will be used on products, rather than the standalone treatment to show a coherence of joined brands. However, a “Be What’s Next” tagline is real, and will be showing up here as well as there.
